• Structural design concept, dimensioning and development of execution details of the roof structure

Project description
The curved roof shape is resting on top of 24 single columns with spans from 6.6m up to 12m and is „floating“ above the building. At the, to the coast pointing front facade, the roof structure is cantilevering 5.5m beyond the
building. The roof surface measures about 26m x 62m in plan view. The bearing structure consists of primary beams made of beech and oak wood with single-curved secondary beams made of spruce wood spanning between the primary beams. A highlight is the partly double-curved edge beam made of oak wood enclosing the roof.
