Project description
The three multi-family houses with a total of 29 residential units have been designed entirely as timber constructions. The building shell consists of a standardised timber frame construction and a wooden facade cladding. All floor slabs were designed with a wood-concrete composite system.
The staircase and lift shaft consist of cross-laminated timber panels and a second supporting shell for the vertical load transfer of the floor slabs. Here a modern timber construction was created that meets all requirements.

Project description
All walls of the apartment building were planned as timber framed buildings and prefabricated in the factory. The external staircase which supports a flat roof made of wooden elements is made of concrete. The steel balcony was connected directly to the outer walls during the assembly of the wooden shell. Rafted decks ensure the sound insulation of the floor slabs.

The housing estate consists of two five-storey elongated buildings with 155 apartments and commercial premises. Connected by two walls at the ends, the buildings enclose an inner courtyard. The entire building is constructed in wood. This is not apparent in the interior, as all wooden elements have been clad for fire protection reasons. Insulation and energy supply are designed to comply with the Minergie P label. This means that incidental costs can be kept low and the building structure well preserved.

Three-storey terraced houses „Flarze“ blend into the centre of a village on a small hilltop between church and school building . The basement and ground floor are of solid construction. The timber frame first and roof floors are element construction.
